Fun Facts

 

What made you fall in love with exercise?
The feeling of accomplishment, of getting stronger and investing in a better me than I was 60 minutes ago, and realizing the extraordinary things my body can do when I put my mind to it. 

Favorite midnight snack?
Doughnuts!!! Malasadas in particular! 

Favorite TV shows?
Grey's Anatomy, Empire, Modern Family, The Wire, Game of Thrones, I Love Lucy 

Describe a Saturday or Sunday? What would be ideal?
My cats will usually wake me up to feed them. Once I’ve done that, I can go about my day … teach my morning classes and start off the weekend being in a studio full of strong, empowered people. Spend the afternoon at my own rehearsals, take class myself, study and read for the week ahead. In the evening I’ll have a dance gig at a fun, beautiful venue where performers get to share our art. Come home late at night, exhausted (but fulfilled) and greeted by my nocturnal kitties who don’t care how tired I am; they are ready to party.

What fitness items you cannot live without?
They may not be the splashiest of items, but I absolutely have to have my fascia massage roller and my knee compression bandages. I do a lot of lower body work and I have to take care of my muscles and joints between rehearsals. 

Favorite guilty pleasure meal?
MiDiCi's Rough Guys pizza with mozzarella, spicy sausage, and broccolini. They have the best dough! 

What's your Starbucks order?
A simple, tall, cold iced tea and the biggest, chunkiest, chocolate-y cookie they have! 

Favorite splurge items?
Deep tissue massages, cute stationery, In-N-Out!
